Keddie Norconk Memorial Library - Official Ground Breaking!

The following 2 photographs were taken in the Spring of 2001 before site work began.

Virrginia Street library site, Bear Lake, Michigan spring bulbs
The significance of this particular site, on Virginia Street in the Village of Bear Lake, is that it was once an orchard garden belonging to Bear Lake's founder and sawmill owner Mr. Hopkins. Every effort has been made to store and save as many of this magnificent display of Spring flowering bulbs as possible for replanting in the new Keddie Norconk Memorial Library landscaping.
