LAKE IMPROVEMENT BOARD FOR BEAR LAKE
Minutes August 19, 2010
Members in attendance: Marvin Brisbin – Chairman, Robert Yates – Secretary, Carver Edwards – treasurer, Ken Hilliard – Board of Commissioners, Mark DiBenedetto – Drain Commissioner, Bryan Harris – Pleasanton Twp Rep and Lakeshore environmental Reps – Jennifer Jermalowicz-Jones and Mike Soloman.
Minutes from July 15 read and approved.
Treasurer Report: Carver Edwards reported current balance $134,908.69 motion by Ken Hilliard seconded by Bryan Harris to approve – Approved.
Public Comment: None
Old Business: The scheduled assessment by Lakeshore Environmental on Lake July 19 cancelled – next attempt August 20, 2010 starting at 8:00 am.
Some discussion regarding milfoil.
Phragmities treatment at Blarney Castle scheduled at the proper natural time.
Discussion took place regarding additional signage at treatment time.
New Business: Jennifer reviewed a new systematic herbicide – still awaiting pricing.
Jennifer will put matrix results in electronic form for Pleasanton Twp.
Jennifer mentioned a new product being tested to control ZEBRA MUSSELS.
Public Comment: Appears to be more good weeds in lake.
