Village of Bear Lake - Minutes for August 10, 2005 Please note that the Minutes are not posted to the web site until they have been approved. Village of Bear Lake The Regular Meeting of the Bear Lake Village Council was called to order by Absent: Glen Moore and Robert Howe. Guests: Dorothy Hanes, Jim and Polly Ludwig. Minutes: The July minutes were approved as presented. Treasurer's Report: Motion by Ron seconded by Ricke to accept the Treasurer's Report as read. Motion carried. Building Fund 55,668.33 Bills: Motion by Carol seconded by Ron to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried. Guests: Dorothy Hanes would like to tap into Village water at her home on Lake Street. Council will have Gary McBride check on feasibility and price to run water line. Jim Ludwig addressed the issue of resurfacing some of the Village streets that are getting rough and cracked. Council members will consider plans for fixing the streets in the near future. Bonus: Motion by Ricke seconded by Ron to give summer helper John Ledford a $100.00 bonus. Motion carried. Trees: Motion by Ron seconded by Ricke to have Thompson Tree & Stump Removal take down trees on Main Street for $1,100; tree next to back entrance at school for $800.00; Tree by Timmons home for $200.00 and Tree on Maple Street for $200.00. Motion carried. Campground: Carol reported that the playground is now completed; the trees by the park entrance were trimmed; and the Memorial Tree in Bill Kuhn's name has been planted. Carol also announced her desire to retire as campground host (Correction: campground supervisor). A replacement will be announced at a later date.
