The Regular Meeting of the Bear Lake Village Council was called to order by President Glen Moore at 7:30 p.m. at the Bear Lake Village Hall.

Council Present: Carver Edwards, Don Hyrns, Michelle Mortenson, Ron Ronning and Glen Moore.
Absent: Howard Higley, Alice Howe, Bill Howe, Ricke Guerne and Larry Mortenson.
Guests: Jim Mlejnek, Judy Kuhn, Scott and Heather DeRidder and Jim Eaton.
Minutes: The July 2007 minutes were approved with one correction. (Alice Howe added in Council Present).
Treasurer¹s Report: No report was given this month.
Bills: Motion by Ron seconded by Carver to pay the bills as presented. Motion carried.
Resignation: It was with regret that the Village Council accepted Ricke Guerne¹s letter of resignation due to personal reason.
Motion by Carver seconded by Ron to appoint Jim Mlejnek as a new Village Council Trustee to replace outgoing member Ricke Guerne. Motion carried. Jim was sworn in by the clerk.
Guest: Scott and Heather DeRidder approached the council about possible locations for a new skateboarding park. The location on Wise Street was discouraged but the Village was open to other options. The DeRidder¹s will continue to pursue different ideas in an effort to find a suitable location.
Motion by resolution from Ron seconded by Don to adopt the revised resolution (2007.02) to establish the Bear Lake Improvement Board and appoint Carver Edwards as the Village representative. Motion carried.
Discussions Held On:
- Audit in progress.
- Check on fixing lawn tractor or purchasing a new one.
- Tree by pump house #2 must be taken down.
- Payment on Virginia Street will be replaced due to water leak repair.
- Will check on progress of dock replacement grant with Wade Trim.
- Treatment of some trees in the park will be addressed in the spring.
- Tennis court repair was discussed‹no action taken at this time.
- The council will pursue repair of the deck in the spring.
