The Regular Meeting of the Bear Lake Village Council was called to order by President Glen Moore at 7:30 p.m. at the Bear Lake Village Hall.
Council Present: Carver Edwards, Howard Higley, Alice Howe, Don Hyrns, Jim Mlejnek, Glen Moore, Larry Mortenson, Michelle Mortenson, Donna Ronning, Ron Ronning and George Schafer.
Absent: None
Guests: Kim Schafer and Barb Farfsing
Minutes: The March minutes were approved as presented.
Treasurer's Report: Motion by Ron seconded by Larry to accept the Treasurer's Report as read. Motion carried.

Motion by Larry seconded by Ron to pay bills as presented. Motion carried.
Motion by Ron seconded by Don to support the Bear Lake Promoters/Vision Bear Lake idea to modify the landscape along the walking entrance to Hopkins Park. Motion carried.
Motion by Carver seconded by Larry to have the Village President sign the Variance Request to erect a new water tower on the parcel of land off Potter Road where the water tower is currently located. Motion carried.
Discussions Held On: - Kim Schafer (Schafer Landscaping) and Barb Farfsing presented a design idea for modifying the walking entrance to Hopkins Park. They would like to enhance the area with trees, annuals, an arch and walkway at the bottom of the stairs to make it more visually appealing. The council welcomed the idea and thanks Kim and Barb for their time and effort with this design. - A proposed bond to borrow money for the water project is currently being reviewed. - The Village received complaints involving three different issues. Letters will be sent to homeowners regarding the complaints. - The status of the dock upgrade was discussed and questions and concerns will be addressed by engineering firm Wade-Trim - Requests for permits were signed and sent to MDEQ and MDOT for the next round of items for the water project. - The Bear Lake Promoters thanked the Village Council for use of Hopkins Park for the Easter Egg Hunt which drew over 100 participants. - The proposed clock tower was discussed with no action taken at this time. - Triginta club requested a silent auction banner be placed on a pole near their club. The Council saw no issues with their request.
