Bear Lake Village Ordinance No. 2000.01

An ordinance to prohibit the open burning of designated materials without a permit or approval by Bear Lake Village.

Adopted on this 14th day of June, 2000.
This ordinance was duly adopted on June 14, 2000, at a regular meeting of the Village Council and will become effective July 14, 2000.

RATIONALE

The Village Council has consistently received complaints of noxious smells emanating from smoldering unattended burning barrels used to incinerate household garbage and building materials. State law to protect air quality works in conjunction with local authorities. Bear Lake Village Ordinance No. 101

An ordinance to provide and foster public peace, health, safety and welfare through improved street safety and efficient administration of snow removal services by regulating the parking of motor vehicles, tractor trailers, house trailers, upon the public roadways and streets within the Village of Bear Lake; to provide penalties for the violation of this ordinance; to repeal any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith.


Synopsis:

Vehicles may not park on the public roadway between the hours of midnight and 6 am.

Penalty: Persons deemed to be in violation shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine of up to $100.00 per day per occurrence and, in discretion of the Court, subject to costs of prosecution. Failure to pay the levied fines may result in a period of imprisonment not exceeding five days. Each day that a violation of this ordinance is deemed in effect shall constitute a separate occurrence.

Adopted on this 10th day of September, 1986.
